Happy Independence Day

It's the 4th July! So happy 238th birthday to the USA.
The radio this morning had some of the local ex pat yanks describing their plans for celebrating today - they sounded the same as Australia Day except in the middle of winter, I might throw a couple of snags on the barbie to celebrate as well.

To the rest of you - Its Friday! Yay!



(It might not be the 4th in Yankeeland yet but it is here so at least you know that the 3rd July wasn't the end of the world.)

Have a good day.

John Adams and Thomas Jefferson who signed the Declaration 1776
both became President and also died on the same day
of 4th July 1826.

To me that means it was the fate of the USA to have their independence
and for those men to become Presidents. Written in the wind as they say.

Stuff that, bunch of rebellious Yankees, pay your taxes, give us our tea back or else we will be severely cross with the lot of you.

Ps George Washington and Neil Armstrong were Geordies and Will Smith is not the saviour of the world. I rest my case. :
