Reasons to post.

What is it that prompts us to post threads & replies in response to them?
Is it vanity, as in my case. Inquisitiveness perhaps. Or a genuine love of people and companionship.
Maybe Education, information.
Or something else.

Good to share my love of music, nature, and photography, with like minded people,, cant say im contributing much to the rest of the site these days.

I think its a great forum and you meet very interesting and nice people.
Before I did forums I was working so didn't have time but now retired
for a few years I love having a chat or giving my opinion on subjects
that interest me.
My only pain in doing so is when you lose a lovely Cyber friend like Janela
this week. I found out yesterday I lost another friend on Friends United
who we hadn't seen for a few weeks. Luckily her Son came on and told
us the news. So the positives on chatting on forums is the lovely people
but the negative for me is losing them too.

Enjoying the interaction between members and learning lots of interesting things.

Have made and kept some lovely friends on Forums. One Forum we had one member dying of cancer. So to give her something to strive for we decided we would all meet in New Zealand for a week to spend time with her. About 5 people from all over Australia went plus some New Zealanders from both islands and even one from America. We had a great time together.

What an absolutely remarkable thing to do. That gave me goosebumps.
It does my heart good to hear stories like this! Reminds me that there really are lots of good people still around.

I view posting as I would chatting with friends in a coffee shop or pub . So it falls into the category of 'making conversation' .
