Re: Michael Jackson

We were on holiday in Bulgaria when Michael died. So missed all the hype that was going on at home.

Still think he was a brilliant singer though.

Very damaged person who I still believe damaged others, but cannot deny he had a talent.

Re: Michael Jackson

I always have loved him, I can remember hearing it on the news, I just could not take it in. His music was wonderful.

I agree, Julie. And he was merely a victim of his own addictions and a foolish doctor who gave in to them, no doubt for large amounts of money.

I remember it feeling somewhat bizarre at the time - I was working as a volunteer in a tiny place in Kenya and the locals all seemed to think of him as a hero. There they were with almost nothing, and they admired this man who had everything. (Except, perhaps, happiness.)

Re: Michael Jackson

I enjoy watching the old clips of the Jackson 5 on Youtube, old songs. Funnily enough I liked watching the guitarists more but you could see back then he was destined for success.

Unfortunately it sounds like his father was a horrible influence on them, growing up.
