The Humbugs have hatched.
At the third attempt the Great-crested grebe pair have hatched, i suspect egg theft has occurred at least once.
5 chicks hatched over a week ago, now down to 3, loads of predators around from pike to gulls.
Dad.

Such a shame that they work so hard and then the predators come along.
Lovely photos Norm. Such a beautiful bird. Fingers crossed for the survivors.
