Don't know about homemade, but as they sell frozen yoghurt in the US as a healthier form of ice cream I would have thought you would be ok.Not sure what happens if you try to thaw it first though...
They add cream to frozen yogurt to make it nicer but we often make our own by just freezing a fruit yogurt with a lolly stick stuck through the lid of the pot, makse a nice lickable ice cream.
