How to remove blood-spots from a carpet?

Well thats what it looks like, spent the day working through some old photographs, totally engrossed in my digital dreams.

Unfortunately i was barefoot as usual, wandering back and forth, and did not notice i had cut my big toe somehow.

So when i twigged ive got spots of blood all over my light blue carpet. Any ideas about what too use to remove the spots out would be gratefully received ?

Lakeland's White Wonder is pretty good for most stains. Worth a try.

Ooops, edited to say - how's the toe ?!

Salted water, apply lots & keep dabbing! Then rinse with clean water.

Red wine and lots of it - you won't see the blood spots then !

....agree cold salted water then a towel or kitchen roll, stand on it to blot up the stain and repeat.

Just noticed this thread...
Yes, COLD, salted water, carefully dabbed with kitchen roll (or clean white cloth) don't over-wet the area and avoid over-rubbing.

Regards, Malc.
