What did you, or do you do for a living & do you miss it (if you're retired)?

I was a functional analyst, long before there was the term Information Technology (IT). (Basically I helped integrate new computer systems in companies, made sure they had the software etc. to do business, train, etc.)
I don't miss the long hours, but I do miss the human interaction.
Mine was a forced retirement due to an inoperable AVM.

I was a Consultant Holistic Therapist, specialising in Stress Management. It was interesting and rewarding.

I was a senior systems analyst in a large computer company. I helped to develop software for commercial and financial companies.

I miss the salary, private health care etc... but not the hassle.

Coal miner for 16 years then a FE mathematics lecturer for 23 years now retired for 21 years. I prefer my present job.

I wanted to learn all aspects of office work, in those days easy to get the work, so I applied for all sorts and eventually worked my way up to personal secretary in Finance at large teaching hospital.

I run close to a hundred websites all with datafeed shops attached. These are all operating off my own home servers - of which I have quite a few. I intend to increase this number of shops to 2-300 eventually (in the next few months). This is my sole source of income. Brilliant way to earn money really as I can do it from home in my pjs (most of the time).

Currently migrating one server to another, which is quite a lot of work, and probably accounts for a lot of my crankiness at times - then again maybe not.

Office cleaner, and I love my job some lovely people where I work and we have a laugh every day.
