1960's sex education for girls.

Do any of the ladies on here educated in the 60's remember their sex educated being anything like in the pic below?

Clearly a mans world back then.

I'm truly shocked by that - reads more like the 30s

Sounds like something my Nan would have said and sadly believed. She was a Victorian and not one to want to be anything different. Luckily we had better education from our school but only just. Still to this day I wonder what Mickey and Minnie mouse had to do with it all, can't watch them on TV without a blush

Our PE teacher was supposed to give us personal hygene and sex education lessons.
She was quite young (I suppose not much older than we were) and she would blush furiously ... of course we girls would ask all sorts of embarrasing questions.
Some of the girls would say such outrageous things too.
It was all a hoot, and we learned a lot from those classes - none of it from the poor teacher.

Re: 1960's sex education for girls.

I thought you were going to show us the way dogs, birds and rabbits had sex and that made me think that if someone had a piggy back on you that they were having sex and you would have a baby. Naïve or what?
I think the person who wrote what a housewife should do was in a dream and they woke up in a shower to see it was not true. Oh yes that was Dallas.
What idiots they made women to be. Needless to say I did nothing of that essay on being stupid. Hope no other women did it either.
Luckily our knowledge in this Country has changed but I suppose the third World countries still expect a woman to be that dumb subservient. Bless them. Hard to believe that n 2014 not all women have the right to be free
and marry who they love not who they are told to marry.

I failed the theory, but managed the practical Never had any sex education at school, and the parents talk was so brief. " Do you know about " ...... "Yes"
