Apartm from the publicity and kudos, hosting major international sporting events draws inlots of spectators who also bring lots of money with them. Therefore as hosts, Qatar will profit from it immensely.

The Stadium are being built as we speak. They want sport in their Country so hosting the World Cup brings what UJ has mentioned and also bringsother sport as well as football if you have stadiums.
Might not be going to happen now with all the parlava over cheating to get it. I thought it should have been Australia who had also bid for it. So you
never know they might be heading for Oz and not the boil in the bag weather of Qatar.
One thing Sett Blatter or should be Splatter hasn't consider in the choice
of Qatar is that Women are not allowed to stand with strangers who are men. So that's going to cause some trouble having women segregated and in all the regalia they would have to wear. Any Woman showing her footie T SHIRT off would be hung drawn and quartered by the looks of it.
Daftest choice ever and I hope this means the end of Sett Blatters reign
over the Worlds Football that he has managed to hang on to for so many years.
