Speed Peeve

Last month I arranged with my ISP to increase the speed of my Internet service to 100Mbps upload and 40Mbps download (100/40Mbps), the increase to occur from the first of the month (the billing period)

I checked yesterday, 1st June, but no change, still 25/5Mbps; however as it was Sunday I was prepared to forgive them. No longer! it is 6.30pm Monday and my check a few minutes ago still showed 25/5Mbps and while the problem is undoubtably with Telstra a terse email has just gone to my ISP.

The invoice with the fee change arrived today.

Not happy Jan... Pissed off in fact.

Re: Speed Peeve

My heart really goes out to you... 100 Mbps - that's the stuff of SiFi here.

I'm giving my internet pigeon extra feed in the hope that it can deliver more than 1 byte a day.

This is my old service (still don't understand why UK pings/latency are so poor)

In the UK we get our signal transmitted by a length of damp string !
