Is the Agony Aunt dead now we have the internet?

Do people still write to the newspapers and magazines with their personal problems, the old Agony Aunt thing, "Dear Veronica my husband has taken to wearing my knickers, should I be worried?" that sort of thing, or do they look it up on the internet instead? I don't know about these things and if I had a personal problem I certainly wouldn't write into Veronica, or anyone else.

They still have them in the Daily Mail, but who knows if they are genuine? The Aunt claims that they are. Not sure I'd write in either. Prefer me forum friends for advice.

I'd imagine most of them are made up Jazzi, still it's amazing how popular they were, people love to here about someone else's problems, like when so many folks gather around after an accident on the street, that I could never do, I just say a silent prayer for those involved and move on.

I see Denise Robertson is still going strong on TV, they call in in their droves every week.

I don't buy magazines or newspapers but I would guess the Agony Aunts are still there as each new generation has 'problems' they don't feel able to discuss openly.
