Whats Your Favourite Holiday

I don't mean a traveling, 2 week type holiday, but the statutory days throughout the year.

Mine is Thanksgiving because of the beautiful time of year it is. The fall colours, the cooler if sunny temperatures, it just feels magical then & kind of hard to explain.

Then I can start looking forward to Christmas without it being here yet

Spring - for me, not too hot - not too cold, perfick
The birds wake me with their songs, what more could we ask - except all year should be 'spring'

St. Patricks Day 17th of March, great stuff going on in town and plenty of music in the pubs, a very lively day even if it nearly always rains on that day.

Re: Whats Your Favourite Holiday

Definitely St Patrick's Day. It is not actually a an official holiday in UK - so, when I was still working, I always saved two days of my annual leave - 17th March to celebrate and 18th to recover!

I cannot understand why St George's Day is not a Bank Holiday here - it should be!

Hear hear!!

When I was working I'd get bothered on the weekend when my mom or dad would say " can't wait for Monday so everyone will be back to work or school", ha ha! My husband still works but has an office in the recroom so he works from home. He can still enjoy stepping outside, etc. Still I like when he has a vacation day. I know....I'm rambling on
