Sir Jack Brabham

Jack Brabham, three times F1 motor racing champion has died at he age of 88. He was the only man to have designed, built and driven a Grand Prix winning car.

An amazing man, he left school at 15 to work in a garage.
My friend tells me his grandson is a racing driver.
I've never followed F1 but his is a name I am familiar with.

Always liked F1 so shame the old ones eventually go. He was known
as a gentleman and even when younger I thought he was quite a
handsome man. At least he was one who lived to old age unlike
some of the other poor drivers who died doing their job in those days.
Remember crying a lot in those days watching those poor guys die
for a sport. Thank goodness no one has died for 20 years now in F1
