Do You Drive the Speed Limit?

It seems on all the highways the norm is driving 20kph over the speed limit as if that's allowable grace.

I used to do it too, hee hee but gas costs so much now, it's not worth it. I enjoy listening to my CDs in the car so I don't mind doing the speed limit to enjoy them longer, ha ha.

By the way, gas where I live is running about $1.35/litre. What's the price there approx?

Last fill up here was £1.48 a litre and driving over the speed limit is rather frowned on we have speed cameras everywhere !

that's cheap! ours is around £1.35 per litre! I try to stay within the speed limit but it's difficult when driving on 30 mph roads, The speed limit on our motorways is 70mph but many drivers go way over at around 90mph!

Petrol is £1.27 and DERV is £1.33

The speed limit on our major highways is 100 kph but people easily do 120kph.

After numerous accidents from idiots going faster they've had this "stunt driving" law meaning anyone doing 150kph (yes, it happens), they're heavily charged, lose their car immediately, etc.

It was last Thursday actually, the price varies around the country in case you hadn't noticed, I wouldn't contradict what price you paid so please accept what we paid as correct too.

That says it all...speed limits are set for a reason.

I do stick to the speed limit but get sick of people flying past me way over the limit, some behave as though I was the one in the wrong

In built up areas I ALWAYS drive the speed limit, but on main roads I frequently go up to 70MPH, unless the conditions are very bad or there is a tremendous amount of traffic.
