0012102490540 aaagghhhhhh !

These people have been calling my neighbour for weeks driving her mad, she is getting calls right up to 9.30pm which was starting to scare her as the caller is silent.

Just called while I was there and I came home and looked it up finding it's a scammer - one of those who claim your computer is faulty to try and gain access.
My neighbour doesn't even have computer access !

Time the phone companies or even the government did something about these callers and all the other scammers and sales calls IMO

I believe that phone companies can block UK phone numbers, but not those from overseas. I agree with you Julie, that they can be disturbing and annoying too. I had a call last week when I was told that there was a fault on my computer, so I just fibbed and said I didn't have one.

Unfortunately, harm can be done as we all know, if these firms are allowed access................

If your friend is getting a lot of nuisance calls it might be worth her while to buy a CPR call blocker.

But why should she have to buy anything ? I doubt she would be able to afford one anyway as I was there to make sure she had enough food as she is struggling at the moment her interest she was living on is so little these days.

I'm sorry, but the only alternative to getting nuisance calls is to block them, TSP is a waste of time, they all get round it by phoning from abroad.
If she has caller display she can see whose calling and not answer the nuisance ones, just cut them off.

Again expecting the person to pay more for the service when surely it could be stopped by the provider.

There are that many nuisance call now, it's time the government made the phone companies give their customers a free blocking service.

Completely agree as it is now we are paying for these intrusions and it isn't right TPS are unable to help so something has to happen.

Even being Ex-Directory is no protection these days. I am quite certain something could be done by the government/telephone companies - if they really wanted.
