Not sure I could have done that....good to know she can get on with her life though without it hanging over her too much. I suppose you have to forgive to be able to do that.

Easy to say she forgives now that he's dead, I doubt it would have been so easy if he were still alive......

It's never easy alive or dead I would imagine. We had a battle when my niece was raped but got there in the end. Wasn't easy though.

Sorry, I cannot understand ANYONE who forgives when they have been a victim, or someone belonging to their family.
I'm afraid if anyone hurt my family even my dog, I would go after them, regardless of the consequences.
same as them (and the politicans) who apologise "unreservedly" means absolutely nothing.
