Wayne Gardner, 500cc Motorcycle World Champion went up in a RAAF F-111 at Philip Island at a Moto GP. Afterwards he commented that being in a fighter jet made motorcycle racing seemed pretty tame.

On Sunday I was sitting in my house when there was a massive roar as a jet aircraft went flying overhead fast and low. By the time I rushed out to see it was a dot on the horizon.

The plane was a RAAF FA-18 Hornet appearing at a local airshow (Wings over the Illawarra) few kms away


I waited in the garden for ages hoping it would do it again but while I could hear it doing low level passes in the distance I never saw it. A bit peeved

GUinea pigs are not very good in traumatic (eg NOISY) situations.

For many years our local summer show featured a massive array of different animal fanciers.
Apart from the Dogs & cats there were hundreds of rabbits, guinea pigs &tc.

One year they arranged for a flypast of the RED DEVILS .

What a noise they made, most of the guinea pig s died of fright. Thus ended the long association of the city show & guinea pig shows
