Stunning birds. Ive never managed to do one justice photographically. supposed to have been introduced to the UK by the Romans, still shot by the blood sports brigade for pleasure.

Gorgeous - I love pheasants. Not long ago we had one that visited our garden for the bird seed I watched him change colour over the course of a week or so.

Where I live they feed them liberally before shooting season and then remove all the food afterwards and you see the survivorswandering around pitifully looking for food, it just breaks my heart.
