When you go shopping, do you always take a list or buy from memory and hope for the best?
If you do take a list, do you always manage stick to it , or do you get side-tracked and end up buying extras?
There was an interesting bit on telly tonight on how supermarkets display goods to try and make us spend more we than intended. Cunning lot aren't they . . .
The only time I make a list is if I am shopping for stuff for a new recipe and want to make sure I buy it all in one go. Otherwise - no - I don't use a list and I only buy exactly what I have gone to buy.
I usually make a list, but that's for the things I must get. I always end up buying lots of things that aren't on that list - usually special offers, reduced items or the occasional treat.
When it comes to food and the freezers become full, I have a week or two of meals made from all these unplanned purchases!
Definitely make a list as I don't shop until I know I need a number of things, and I'd never remember them. Sometimes buy extras if they are things that I use and are on offer, but sometimes I'm a very well-behaved girl and only buy the stuff on the list...
