Is Great Britain Sinking?

Just wondering if it's a scientific fact.

Re: Is Great Britain Sinking?

I saw a predictive map the other day of the UK and what it will look like
in about a 100 years if the seas keep on rising. London, Essex and parts of that South East corner will be under water. So will Lincoln, Nottinghamshire and part of Lancashire. The Capital city would probably in Yorkshire.
So its not so much that its sinking its the rise in the Worlds seas that will make the land here disappear. The North of England and Scotland are rising but this is happening all over the World with the rising seas and movement of the Earth's crusts.

I do not know if Britain is sinking, here on the Isle of Wight great chunks are falling into the sea.

I think some areas along the coast are doing that here too. Makes me glad to be inland on top of a hill in an upper floor flat, will be a will before we have too many problems.

They have a new name for that now Nom, scientists have come up with a theory based on the fact that the World has always had the same amount of water in it, no more no less, they call it the 'See-Saw' effect and your situation is a fine example of it in action. It seems some parts of land will sink while others will rise, so you are sitting pretty at the moment.

It probably is sinking..under the weight of economic immigrants..''asylum seekers'' and anyone else who fancies coming here..

We haven't left the door ajar..it has been taken off it's hinges!!..
