Is it possible to have your forum name taken in vain?, could someone replicate your sign on name and post as you, is there any safeguard?.

Aren't our passwords imbedded, meaning how could someone sign on as you unless they knew your p/w from the beginning? Am I getting this?

Most forum are hackable so in principle it could happen but I think we would spot anyone pretending to be you spitty so never.

It is possible, and has been done, your username is there for all to see, and they only have to find your password to post as you.

Yes I'd say it was possible alright Jimmy, but I can't see why anyone would want to do that on a forum, what would be the point…pure malice?, surely people have better things to be doing with their time.
