Cleaning burnt on grease from oven pans

Normally I use a soap filled pad and apply a bit of elbow grease, but with arthritic fingers I get tired part way through.

Most of my pans are covered in this brown muck. (But yes of course they see hot soapy water every time.). Does anyone have an idea what product to use?

Thanks.

I can't remember the name of the stuff but Lakeland do a kit with a large plastic bag you put the shelves into the bag with the chemical and leave it a while then spread the chemical around the oven. Rinse it all off. Worked a treat on my sisters oven when we cleaned up her house, and hers really was a nightmare hadn't been touched in years by a cleaning product.

I bought Oven Pride which is as you describe Julie, and it worked a treat, no scrubbing, my oven shelves were really dirty and would have taken a lot of elbow grease and Brillo pads to clean them. You can buy the product cheaper in either Home Bargains or B & M

But what is the best thing for cleaning the floor and roof of the oven please? Would Oven Pride be good enough to do that?

I usually use Brillo pads but if your oven racks needed doing then I'd dip a cloth in the solution and try that as it's a strong cleaner

Thanks Honey, will get some Brillo pads then and give it a good go, also some Oven Pride. Cleaning the cooker is the worst job ever though. I must keep this one clean as it's only a few months old.

Ladies, ladies, ladies! Oven pans, not the oven grills! As this stuff is so strong and caustic, surely it's not ideal for cooking pans?
