He 'talks' with his eyes and head motions but more importantly if we cuddle him, he loves to have his hind legs cradled and kicks them to command that we cradle his legs. His big sighs of contentment tell us a lot!

That's cute!
I used to have a malamute that was a big talker. Not so much words, but a talking 'noise.' I swear he was telling me off half the time!

no our dogs can't talk but macduff has the widest grin i have ever seen in a dog
