Wildlife patch . Pic Heavy.

Favourite place i like to walk looking for wildlife.

Map. centered on St Marys island.

The island to the East at high tide.

Hartley village to the North.

To the South, the links and The Spanish City, mentioned in the Dire Straits song, " Sultans of Swing"

To the West the cemetary has an enthusiastic local group who install bird boxes and creat small wildflower meadows.

The South Beach.

The North beach, good for wading birds.

The Wetland,

The long Drag, walk up to Harltey.

Flora and Fauna.

The Birds.

A combination Meg, field-craft, knowledge of the area, pure luck, and a guarantee that if im without a camera something stunning will turn up.

I have spent many long and happy hours here, its very popular with, dog walkers, cyclists, tourists, and dodgy looking blokes with scopes and cameras.
