The Barber of North Korea

I bet you men on here are glad you don't live in North Korea.

Ug or whatever his name is has made a law that all men in the Country have the exact same hair cut as he has.
If not they will probably have the same fate as his Uncle
thrown to wild hungry dogs, or to his enemies having a
mortar bomb fired at them.
With only 10 hairstyles for men approved in North Korea and only 18 hairstyles for women. It makes you wonder how the trendies of the UK would accept what this square is telling nay ordering them to do.
No mention of any poor bald person not being able to do the command has been mentioned so a wig might be in order.

What if you go to a barber and he makes a pig's ear of it? Who gets it in the neck you or the barber?

I've read a few books on North Korea - 'Nothing to Envy' by Barbara Demick is the most recent. To live under such State control is almost beyond belief. The latest example of acceptable haircuts shows to what extent people's lives are dictated.

Wonder what the penalty for a bad haircut is, Uncle Chang was taken round the back and shot for less than that.

Re: The Barber of North Korea

When you think about it Sandy, and I'm not agreeing with this stupid law by the way, ten hairstyles for men is more than enough, I dont think I know of ten different male hairstyles, I'd say there's only about five on the men in my local, take a look at the male TV presenters and see how many can you spot. Then you got the bald chaps and the semi bald chaps, their choice is very limited. And the women, how many women outside show business had more than 18 different hairstyles in their lifetime?
People should not be told what to wear and what they should look like, it's their choice and when you take away personal choice you're asking for trouble.

The thing is Jem - a law has been passed that 'all' men now have the same hairstyle as 'him'
