Another moan
My paper boy never showed up today. He does this from time to time and it gets on me wick. Spoilt me early morning cuppa. Eventually he arrived about 2p.m.!
Next I eagerly unpacked my nice new car seat covers I had ordered. I had waited 3 weeks for these, instead of the 1 week they had initially promised. They didn't fit, wouldn't even go over the headrests. When I looked at the invoice, they were for a 2004 Vauxhall Frontera - mine's a 2008 Chevrolet!
Fed up, I decided to send them back and request a full refund.
Got onto PayPal who had arranged the payment. Tried to do the refund application online but it kept refusing the details. I was getting a bit rattled by then, so phoned them.
Eventually I got through to one of those recorded voices you're supposed to talk to, but they never offer the options you actually need. I gave all the info as best I could, and shortly after they sent me an e.mail to let me know they would sort it out. How efficient, I thought.
Except when I read the e.mail, the reason for returning the goods was nothing like I had said at all, so phoned them again. After pressing dozens of 'options' and listening to more recorded messages, I eventually got to speak to a human being. He took details all over again and once again said it would be sorted. I certainly hope so.
Now my son doesn't appear to be speaking to me at the mo.
He had a bit of an upset with his Nan yesterday, which I tried to put right between them, but it backfired and now I've got the blame for something that I'm totally innocent of.
Bloomin' paper boy, bloomin' car seat company, bloomin' PayPal and bloomin' kids!
Tomorrow's another day . . . . . .
