A Nice Slap for Mr Abbott
It is not on the same level as Gillard's Misogamy speech but it delivers a well deserved slap to PM Abbott before the rerun of the WA Federal Senate election.Well worth spending the 7 minutes listening to. It purports to be an invitation from the WA Senator for the PM to visit WA but the few sentences from 6:30 to 6:57 are the nicest way I have heard any pollie tell the Mad Monk to shove it up his arse and not get ejected from Parliament (or indeed provoke cries of outrage). A joy.
BTW the Senate is the Federal Upper House where each state has an equal number of representatives (12) half being elected every 4 years. The territories (ACT and NT) get a couple of reps each.
The senate election in WA is having to be redone because the WA Electoral Commission lost 1300 votes at the last election.
