RIP Holden, Ford and Toyota

Ford will cease production of cars in 2016, Holden and Toyota in 2017 with the demise of the Australian car manufacturing industry. Thereafter all cars sold in Australia will be imported.


Let's hope the government also removes the 5% import duty because there is no Australian industry to protect.

didn't the British car and motorbike industries go the same way back? - it's called 'who can make it the cheapest'!

No. It's called who can make bikes that don't leak oil all over the drive.

That was part of the ownership experience, imperfection is what it is all about, the Jap's thought they could imitate it, but they forgot the oil leaks.
