I have ! A couple of weeks ago Sheila said that it's about time we had a new mattress for our bed. Yesterday, just as I was unloading our car, a van pulled up and asked if I knew anyone who might be interested in a brand new mattress as he had a couple of spare ones on his van ( the van had on the side the name of a well-known bedding shop). I asked how much he wanted for one and he said £200. I managed to beat him down to £120 for a 27cm Tempur orthopaedic mattress which would cost at least £800 in the shop. I didn't like to question how he could give me such a good deal.........sometimes it's best not to know these things. PS The mattress is in A1 condition and was in it's original wrapper.

My good news is I am another year older on Monday and share my exact birthdate with Dave Davies of the Kinks and Melanie.
I am off for three days to my hometown of Leeds and will be meeting up
with all my friends and my Brother. So I am happy as a lark.
