Computer work

Does anyone's computer make their eyes sore, or is it just me? I'm getting a bit worried!

Re: Computer work

I spend hours on my computer every day Mups but it doesn't give me sore eyes.

Re: Computer work

Have you tried turning down the brightness a bit? Might help.

Re: Computer work

When I started using a computer, yes, my eyes felt very bad ~ especially with the photo restoration but now I'm OK.

Mind you I dislike reading anything long-winded on the screen and tend to print things to read at leisure, when necessary.

Not doing coding are you ? that must be a killer

Re: Computer work

I worked most of my working life in IT and have written many 1000's lines of code and supporting documemtation. That has never given me any problems with my eyes, though I need glasses for distance work.

Like you Rachel, I don't like reading off a screen and prefer to print things. This is why I prefer books to 'Kindle' etc..

Re: Computer work

When my husband got his last glasses the optician suggested mid range instead of reading glasses and that sorted his computer problems out completely.

Re: Computer work

My optician is brilliant. He asks questions, where do I hold my book?, what lighting do I read by?, computer work, driving, etc., etc., always asks about problems I might be having. I can talk to this man.
So I would suggest Mups that sore eyes are not right and you need to go and chat to your optician.
