Lovely photos! My favourite birds are long tailed tits, they go around in gangs! Difficult to photograph though, very quick!

Me too Boppa but my favourite is a Wren which lives in the little stone wall on my patio ....
I can't manage to catch it on camera...

Thanks for looking, by and large my camera is a Canon 40D and a Canon 100-400mm lens. For moving subjects i usually start in AV mode, and set my ISO around 400, but use the Histogram to alter to suit the conditions. A good tip is to set to Auto, half press the shutter and see what readings you get,then set your camera around these.

Meg i love Wrens but they can be really hard to capture, ive yet to manage a decent shot.
