Microwave slippers - bliss

These are so warm. Shoved em in the micro on full power for 3 mins with a small bowl of water ( as instructed ) and now my toes are all nice and toasty . All helps in the battle to keep warm. Just £4.99 plus postage off Ebay.

Can't say my slippers ever get so cold I would need to warm them but I usually wear a pair of bed socks if my feet are too cold.

Well now that I have tried them for a little while I can see a drawback in that you can't really walk around with them on. They are for settling and staying comfy in one place for a period of time. Could wear them to bed come to think of it.

I don't like hot feet
My son once bought me some hippopotamus foot warmers which went straight to Oxfam so quickly their feet didn't touch the floor

Re: Microwave slippers - bliss

Think I'll stick with my trusty cosy slippers but your post did really get my interest. I don't think I could sit still for a long period waiting for the slippers to warm my tootsies!! Then again they couldn't be any worse than those electric foot warmers than both feet went into. Just think you get p without thinking and wham - over you go and hit the floor..........lol

That's funny!
I now have a picture in my head of Mark hopping about like one of those lizards in the dessert when the sand's hot!

You and me both Meg. Come "curtains drawn" time I'm without anything on my feet but socks. Even in bed I very often have my feet poking out from under the covers.

Thanks for the laugh!!!

If my feet are very cold I just put bed socks on. I hope that's not an impulse buy consigned to the back of the cupboard, Mark? And yes I have plenty of those, some costly!

Re: Microwave slippers - bliss

Some funny remarks on this post. You can just imagine getting up and forgetting about your feet as they normally do what you tell them to do
I walk around with bare feet even in Winter. Only if its about -5c do I feel I need something like socks on. I do think its a good idea and just wondered why they are being sexist. For men????
