The shape of things to come.

If you're looking for an unusual send off try this coffin from crazy caskets, I love it and I'm thinking of ordering one, (If she lets me that is) it's bound to get a reaction when they're lowering you down. They do them as boats, fish, cars, guitars, shoes, and even one as a dumping skip. Biodegradable plastic with metallic look, you'll be the coolest corpse in the morgue.
I wonder do you need special permission for that type of thing, must all coffins be made in that terrible traditional shape

That's who I am Meg, the angel of the north, north Dublin that is, ask the wife, street angel and house devil she calls me.
They also have some lovely wicker coffins that would suit your preference.

It looks a bit like the saw-the-lady-in-half magic trick!

Do they come in different sizes Jem? Just wondered if I needed to go on a diet before I popped my clogs

I like it Jimmy
But we are having the same as Meg, a wicker basket in a Woodland a few miles away (and we paid for it, a long time ago too)

It looks like something out of an ANN SUMMERS catalogue.

Not that I have ever looked inside an ANN SUMMERS catalogue.

looks quite Steampunkish, it'll do, but would need a couple of "lumps" in it for me!

Smashing coffin - I wondered if it was possible to use here.

I was surprised to discover that a coffin is a legal requirement for burial in this country. Though there are some exemptions for religious reasons (eg Hindus, Jews and Muslims) I wonder if plastic is acceptable. Interesting.

Will have to do some Googling

Re: The shape of things to come.

Maybe you could answer me this Bruce seeing you have two boys in the Navy, do they still bury Sailors at sea, or is that all finished now? Every time I see that ceremony on screen I always thought it was done with great respect and dignity.
