Is It Time

For a new television?, my Samsung has been going on the blink for a while, it (just like me) is taking longer to switch on everyday, this morning I pushed the off standby button at 6.50am, it is now 7.23am and it is still clicking on and off, when it does come on I will have to leave it on when I go to work, so I can watch TV tonight.

Oh ho, it's still clicking on and off now at 7.34am, I think it's had it, this one is a 45" screen, if I have to replace I want at least a 50" screen, then maybe I will see the "bigger picture", anyway it is good to note tele screens are still (in some cases) measured in inches.

Sorry folks, I have just made the decision to switch the power off at the socket, it was so sad to see her struggling to come off standby, it is better to remember her as she was. RIP tele.

Definitely get a new one, you don't want to be left with no telly over Christmas.

Once they struggle to come on Paul means they have had it in my experience, that's the way the daughters and mine went, the good news is that there are some great deals on TV's out there at the moment.

I don't think leaving a blinking tv on all day while you're out is to be recommended. Elf & safety.

I know how you feel about "Switching off" an old friend.
BTW why are tv screens measured DIAGONALLY?

Re: Is It Time

No consolation of course Spitfire but I've had two bad experiences with Samsung devices in the past and so have members of our family.
I've just got a new TV but shied away from Samsung and got a Sharp - good TVs and they do larger screen sizes but I don't know how big!.

Try Richer Sounds - http://www.richersounds.com/

We bought ours from Richer Sounds and got it cheaper than John Lewis, even after adding a 5-year guarantee, which you'll get automatically with JL.

Cost £219.90 with guarantee instead of JL's price of £249 with guarantee. stevmk2

Re: Is It Time

Good News, I contacted a Samsung engineer, got the number off Google, he has just collected the tele, and will return it at 7.30pm this evening, apparently it is a common fault with them, £85.00 quid collected and re-delivered 12 month guarantee, result.
