Argos

We have shopped with Argos for many years, so sad to hear there will be major changes. The number of stores seriously cut. No more catalogues and they will be mainly interested in high priced items.
This is such a shame, they were always competitive ....

Re: Argos

No more catalogues seems a bit drastic , how do they intend to sell the goods ,I've not seen any news on this so I'm not in the loop ..

Re: Argos

You can browse on the internet, but if you haven't got the internet you will have to go to the store, and browse on the computers there, it is supposed to be modernisation, but I think they will lose a lot of custom.

Re: Argos

At the moment, they've got piles of catalogues in the outside "porch" bit of our local Argos, but bet they'll lose trade if they don't print them in the future. Sometimes I get a catalogue for my Mother as well because she has no internet and there must be loads of elderly people the same.
They'll go down the pan like Woolworth's did if they're not careful. Silly idea.

Re: Argos

After this batch - there will not be catalogues.
The older folks here, liked to look at the catalogues which we got for them, they would order too.
Now wont be possible, such a shame ......

Trouble is I guess when you see how much paper is wasted making them they couldn't carry on indefinitely just cutting down trees to keep us all happy.

Yes, that's what mine do too Jimmy, then I go online to 'click and collect'. Shame, they loved doing that together.

Re: Argos

Oh what a shame.
I can't always find the stuff I want online cos I don't know what it's called. Looking through the catalogue's useful
