Worst fight scene ever

On telly (cos I've not changed channel) is Catherine Cookson's The Gambling Man (Robson Green and Ashley out of Emmerdale). Two blokes started fighting and I've never seen anything like it! C'mon, this is supposed to be drama, not comedy!

Where was the director at the time? Out to lunch?

Anyone else watched something on telly that showed bad direction?

Yes I've noticed a lot of bad direction over the years, you would think they had it down to a fine art by now but it still crops up and they either don't care or think they will get away with it.

They obviously dont care Jem - otherwise we wouldn't have 'jerky' camera shots, which are too prevalent these days. If you did that years ago - you'd be sacked !

Ah yes Roger Moore's hair, a bomb wouldn't put it out of place, and lets not forget the six-shooters with 50 bullets, shaky banisters and doors. I've seen some modern films where the banisters still move when the actor holds on to them.

The last films I saw were The Godfather films and One flew over the cuckoos nest of which I walked out of. The language was appalling in that one. and that's it I am afraid so cant really comment( though that doesn't usually stop me!)
