Taken in Linton near Grassington in North Yorkshire.
I've finished compost spreading now I must get round to mowing the grass again. I was hoping that I'd finished with that chore for this year.

Morning ... Mmmm Im the same cut it last week and was hoping it would last at least 2 weeks but its up around my ankles again...You should here the cat moan if he has to come on the morning walk and his legs are getting to wet ...
Still Im off for a long walk today with a friend so will get on with that tomorrow ...

Still mild here at the moment but forecast to get colder later, no complaints though it's been a great summer and early autumn..

Most of my garden chores are up to date so I'm helping our neighbour to clear some overgrown areas today, and there's also some piles of old bricks that need throwing into the skip as well... might be one of those jobs that you wish you hadn't started..

Good morning all, clear skies and the makings of a fine day here today, I hope.
I agree with you Barry, wasn't a bad summer compared to the last few years and I'm not complaining either, just bracing meself for the payback winter, I hear the UK is in for some heavy winds later on.
I have some work to do but I'm feeling lazy so I'll put it on the back boiler, great to be able to do it when you feel like it, oh the joys of retirement.

Good morning everyone.
Dull here and due some rain later but our ground is in need. Hubby is hanging out the bath sheets, they are so heavy when wet! Just hope they dry before the rain.
Nothing planned, so will laze about until something important pops up - it usually does.

Good morning everyone. Hope you all have a nice day. Weather is expected to get colder tomorrow with a wind chill factor in the wind.
Not a mention of the X Factor.
Sent my son and my Grandkids birthday cards for their October birthdays to France. My son said they had received them but they were all in a bag
from the Royal Mail. It stated that they had been opened and they were sorry. So glad they eventually got there as it cost me £3.50. No money was put in thank goodness but very annoyed about it.

Started off dull but mild, it's now very sunny.

Have been to my Mum's this morning, cleaning her flat and making her eat.

We have cut our lawn and our privit hedge for the last time for the year.

Turning out more stuff today ~ masses of paperwork and photocopies from when OH worked for himself.
Boring, dreary, tiring, dull, depressing, dusty ..... and all the lever-arch files are heavy ..... *sighs*
