Happy Tuesday Folk.

This happy brood. Got to run my son back to Birmingham airport this afternoon, he's going back to Germany now the celebrations are over. It's been a nice few days apart from a spat between my son and daughter yesterday...........for the first time ever.

Hi everyone, a nice bright start here after terrific thunderstorms yesterday..

I've decided to try my hand at wood carving, even though I'm the least artistic person that I've ever known, but I've bought some cheap chisels and I'm going to try and carve a simple mushroom for the garden out of some pine firewood that I've collected...so wish me luck, I may be gone for quite some time...

Good morning Barry - I think the wood carving is a wonderful idea - good luck with it my friend.
I love 'arty farty' stuff in the garden and my pergola has all sorts hanging there .. including some old cd's to catch the light and scare off pigeons (huh) plus some glass bits and a couple of pottery balls lying on the stones
Can I have the mushroom when it's made? No excuses that it is rubbish, I like it already

You'll enjoy the carving I bet, Barry, very therapeutic.
I did a couple of courses at night school a few years back, still got all my tools now. Keep thinking I'll start again but haven't so far. You'll have to post a picture of your triumph when its done.
