Public loo's

I don't know if anyone spotted recently articles about the number of public conveniences that are closing. Well I am here to tell you that here in Wales the public loo is still going strong. (I was sure there was a thread but for the life of me I cannot find it). Anyway the reason for this particular thread is a Council Notification delivered today. The public loo, which is a delightful little octagonal building not 100 yards from our flats, is having an 'extension' to accommodate two disabled toilets. How about that then?

There is a shortage of public loos nowadays - I always look to see if there is a Weatherspoons nearby - their loos are always lovely and nobody notices if you just go in to use them

Quite handy for me though cos it is just about half way between entrance to block and the bus stop. Another thing here in S Wales there is a scheme whereby stores, caffs, restaurants, pubs etc can register that the public are welcome to use their loo's and there is a notice thingy they can stick on thir window/ door indicating they are in the scheme.

You'd think you were asking to go into the vault at the Bank of England if you ask to use a shop's loo here!
All in all Daisymay, you didn't ought to get 'took short' much ey.

No surprise the demise of the public toilet, has no one noticed that council budgets are at "Bursting Point".

I was amazed to see our village toilet open yesterday, I think it may just be for market day.
Unless someone has bashed the door down!

Re: Public loo's

We find supermarkets and garden centres the place to head for most of them have loos and you don't have to pay to park or buy anything if you don't want.

Mixed bag cleaning wise but anything in an emergency I always think.
