Playing Games ...

Through out my life time ... I have heard people
say ....that person is playing games ...

Am I naive ... I really don't believe the average
person plays games ...

I can't see people waking up in the morning plotting
to do things to another person ...

Are you the type to play games ??? ...
p.s. (don't be funny not board or computer games )
I mean playing games with the lives of others ...

Well the chatting up on the opposite sex is definitely one big game. Play it with the wrong rules and get no-where. Probably staying in a long term relationship is also one big game. Again deviate from the unspoken rules and face unrest and dissension .

I must admit I play games quite a lot, such as when posting on this forum for instance, which is a bit cruel at times I suppose and also no-doubt very annoying but it does normally get the desired response .

The trick is to know when someone is playing a game or not .

I know people that have gont to bed plotting revenge on someone that has irked them and woken up carrying on with the plotting! There are some who put a lot of effort into their underhanded scheming but you soon get to spot what those people are like.

I think we all play a game, as Mark has said, to a certain extent - not all game playing is, or intended to be, malicious.

I dont play games - hate the thought of it .....
Hate the thought of revenge too - not my style ......
Being straight is the answer - get yer thoughts out in the open and deal with it, rather than let things fester ....

I have been called naive too but I think that's because I like to be as honest as I can be and expect other people to behave the same way.
Sadly some of them don't.

Game playing never seems right to me, I try to be honest as I can but when others play games it's hard as you never quite know what is true from them, so your own honesty has to be rationed or you either get hurt or they use it against you.

Grown ups don't need to play games and by the time we get to over 50 I would have thought we all knew better but seems not sadly.

I'm not a game player (apart from quiz board!), wouldn't know how to be.

The only game I have to work out now is how to get off my drive with the contents of the garage strewn across it!! Son is having a sort out. Would add that the motorbikes aren't amongst those items, they are neatly parked.

I'd guess far fewer Games were played before the ability to communicate electronically became the norm.
