How do you feel when the Internet drops out?

Not so long ago I experienced life without the internet for about one hour. I had reset the modem and restarted the puter about 3 times and was close to committing suicide.
How do you cope without the internet?

Unless I was doing something important I just wander away and do something else, always some mending to do or a nice walk with the dogs, ironing always waiting.

How do you cope when you go on holiday if you can't cope with an hour ? Or are you someone who takes it with you ?

We don't even have TV on holiday, just radio and none of us die, if anything we enjoy it more for not having all the distractions.

We don't go on holiday, because everything we want is right here. It's like having been on holiday continuously for 9 years.
TV I don't need, my wife does.
But take my PC away and I get cranky.

Can't imagine not having a break from work etc, now that would drive me mad. But computer can take or leave really same with TV. Just need a good book and my family.

I'm a bit of an anarchist, the sort of person who pushes a switch just to see what happens, as such, losing a connection personally is an irritation, but I would not mind if everyone lost a connection at the same time, as it would be interesting to see what happened.

I was sort of sad when the Millenium Bug did a "no show".

Oh, but the millenium bug probably did happen in a parallel universe, just like the end of the world when the Mayan calendar finished.
