Another question for 'twoey'

My son and I have been discussing this possibility for weeks, the one guy that presents Iron Chef, is it the same guy who plays Wo Fat in Five O?

Yes. That's Mark Dacascos. He is the "Chairman" on Iron Chef. He also did Dancing with the Stars.

He looks so evil as Wo Fat and so different on five o, my son is also convinced that he will turn out to be Steve's half brother.

Re: Another question for 'twoey'

One of the things I love in triple D or indeed other American food programmes is the way chefs and/or presenters tie their tongues in knots trying to pronounce 'Worcestershire', if only someone would tell them that the 'shire' is never said, and that the Worcester is pronounced Wus ( to rhyme with puss) and ter to rhyme with purr.

And if only someone would also tell them, all of them, that shepherds pie is made with lamb and not beef, the clue is in the name, shepherds herd sheep not cows. Besides it was traditionally made by mincing the left over meat from the Sunday roast and adding it to any left over gravy, and NEVER included sweet corn in any shape or form.

Re: Another question for 'twoey'

I watched a cookery programme the other night where Rick Stein was in Germany, and a chef made "Scouse." I could not believe it when they showed a meal of Scouse, which looked nothing like Scouse, with two fried eggs on top! Oh my great grandfathersI It looked absolutely disgusting. Who would serve up corned beef hash (Scouse) with fried eggs on top?

Shire is said though lass, as in Lancashire, Yorkshire but Worcestershire would be pronouced Worster, as Leominster would be prounced Lemster. Daft this English, isn't it?

I know that generally 'shire' is pronounced, just never heard it used in Worcester sauce though, and sorry but we often bung a fried egg onto corned beef hash the runny egg yolks add a delist sauce.
