One of the things I love in triple D or indeed other American food programmes is the way chefs and/or presenters tie their tongues in knots trying to pronounce 'Worcestershire', if only someone would tell them that the 'shire' is never said, and that the Worcester is pronounced Wus ( to rhyme with puss) and ter to rhyme with purr.Re: Another question for 'twoey'
I watched a cookery programme the other night where Rick Stein was in Germany, and a chef made "Scouse." I could not believe it when they showed a meal of Scouse, which looked nothing like Scouse, with two fried eggs on top! Oh my great grandfathersI It looked absolutely disgusting. Who would serve up corned beef hash (Scouse) with fried eggs on top?
