Blocking Yahoo e-mails

I need to block someone from sending me emails on my Yahoo account.

I have done it before but can not figure out how I did it

I can delete the name/address in my contacts but I don't think that blocks them

any help wold be appreciated thanks

no it doesn't block them they just sent another

You could mark them as spam, if they are going to your Inbox for starters

Is there an unsubscribe button on the email as it comes through, this could help in the first place.

Go to wheel symol beside your name top right hand. Click Options, when page come up in left hand margin there is a place for blocked e-mails

I googled and found this


Go to "Options" It is above your email
Click on "Mail Options"
Click on "Blocked Addresses"
Enter the address you want to block
Click on “Add Block”
Click on “Save”

Can't see a 'save' button so assume it's OK now

I believe Yahoo have throw away email addresses perhaps use these for unimportant or just chat to friends emails.

One of my friends couldn't get emails to me and when I checked the block feature, there was her email address! Once I'd deleted it we then had contact. How it got there I have no idea.

A tip to remember if someone complains about not getting your emails! Check your blocked list.

Oh good I can block this cake woman who keeps sending me mail, I don't know who she is so I don't open them.
