Queen's Birthday list

I notice that most of the awards this year are nearly all millionaires.

I noticed that Baldrick has received a knighthood and Blackadder has a CBE

Maybe he took over from the great Spike Millagan, as Prince Charles favourite.

I think there is more to Baldrick than meets the eye Wrinkley and I know he is quite a political activisit (work which has probably gone a long way towards earning him his knighthood). I like Tony Robinson and am pleased he has received an honour. He reminds me a lot of my dear old dad, particularly in appearance.

I like Tony Robinson too, I watch every Time Team at the weekend, I have been though the lot now, I was disappointed that it has now finished for good.

We knew a young airman who got the CBE, for inventing something to confuse excocets, during the Falklands war.
Now that is a real award.

Tony Robinson is a great crusader for the Alzheimers Society.

I don't think anyone should ever be awarded anything for doing things they want to do. Scrap the scheme....that's my view.

Re: Queen's Birthday list

I was quite disgusted at this year's choice.

Clare Balding. For what, apart from being on telly every half hour?
Grayson Perry. For wearing dresses?
P.J. Proby. A has-been from the 60s, surely?!
Rob Brydon. Simply why?
Aled Jones?????
Hilary Devey...

Oh come oooonnnnnn!! Where the flip is Martin Shaw? I wanted to nominate him many years ago but chickened out on reading the form. You have to state your reasons why. I don't think they'd accept my reason that he's quite simply sex on legs.

Don't mind that Adele got one, but I too am left pondering on the choice of awards to Tony R and Rowan A. I find the latter much more entertaining and think he deserves it more.

As always a disappointing list...
