Re: Twister?

Well caught photograph George

I watched a funnel cloud once which went down to the ground,
it was like a miniature tornado .The next day we walked to where it had been and there were strange swirls of leaves and hay.

Re: Twister?

For a while, it was much more defined and dark. It was moving away from us so eventually I decided to take a photo. I don't think that the base of it ever touched the ground and there was no mention of it locally. A fairly transient phenomenon and I was just lucky to see it.
