What, if any, phrases, drive you nuts?

I think at the top of my list, is the expression 'bear with me' drives me mental. You make a phone call and the receptionist or switchboard operator says 'bear with me' even whilst you are explaining what or who you want.

And as for people (like that girl on 'Miranda') who declare 'bear with me' when their phone calls for their attention even whilst they are in a conversation with you grrrrrr.

What exactly is it supposed to mean??

"No brainer", hate it, makes me feel sick!
"I'm just going to put you on hold" and "I'm just going do run some tests on your line" "please be patient, your call will be answered shortly" (have you guessed BT playing with BB connection AGAIN!)

How dare you, always makes me wonder why they think you shouldn't dare to speak back or try to explain a situation.

Also literally, nothing unless it is written down is literal.

Everything today is "fundamental" too! a few years ago it was all "full blown"....

I use 'how very dare you' more in humour but many people take it seriously!

One I don't like at all is 'think outside the box' - I can't even put words to this one, I just really really hate it.
