Police Reconnecting?

The police in Surrey are trying to reconnect with their public via Facebook:

What do you think? Will this work? It seems popular so far.

Probably would! I'm not sure if this is the way to go but then, I'm no expert and probably well out of touch.

Re: Police Reconnecting?

As a Surrey resident with a problem I would like less facebook (as I don't use it) and more police listening and responding in real life.

Connecting ? what does that even mean ? we need police to respond to complaints in a timely fashion not someone posting on face book !

I can understand that Julie - I can never understand why there can't be more of a police presence on the street.

We still have bobbies pounding the beat here - in the nice weather - and it's nice seeing them chatting to people who are in their front gardens or people just out for a walk and I have to say, our police have a very good relationship with the Manx public; not sure if they Facebook or not though

No, not anymore. I was disappointed when our Government buckled to Europe and built a fancy new prison with a weights room as well. The EU said that the Victorian prison was unsuitable
