raf brize norton

anyone live near brize norton . i was wondering is it expensive to live in that area . my daughter is moving down there soon

Brize Norton is in Oxfordshire - Cameron country. Anywhere where he is is bound to be expensive unless as Joy indicates as part of the military one lives in accomodation on the base itself.

I was evacuated to that area during the war, I have visited about three years ago, and I would say from observations, that there only seems to be two classes, either poor or rich.
Having said that we appear to be getting like that everywhere at the moment.

i did . thank you . my daughter who has 5 sm children is just waiting for a house on base . her raf husband is a steward on the planes . he has nearly finished his training then he will be based at brize norton . its a big decision to make as she has a morgaged house in lincolnshire . which she will have to rent . i not sure if they can afford to go . plus the houses at brize look like prefab buildings not sure if they will be damp .
