Cats can get H1N1 virus!

Just discovered this today! Scary enough to make me think about actually getting my first ever flu shot ......

Now that is alarming DM, . . it seems the virus has mutated to cross species other than fowl.

That is worrying, I suppose that means dogs could get it too.

This isn't the cat flu, it's the swine flu. the new H1N1 mutation which it appears can effect cats ... at least this case was confirmed as H1N1.

I know its not cat flu but I was just thinking of things cats get that dogs don't and musing about the possibility of this virus spreading to dogs too.

Just phoned the doc and I get the seasonal jab at lunch time, the swine flu I'll have to wait for, they send a letter out it seems.
