Re: Water (H2O)

I very rarely have a drink of water Michael, I just drink tea, coffee and alcoholic drinks.

Ours tastes horrible and looking at the residue of lime scale it leaves on everything I wonder just how good it possibly can be for anyone.

It's ok with sugar free squash and low cal hot chocolate though and often buy a bottle of water.

Re: Water (H2O)

Drinking too much water will cause flabby kidneys and an instruction to reduce the amount of water you drink - as I found out!

Yes it was Julie and it was found by chance after a scan and probably before it had become a real problem. I used to drink copious amounts of hot water and it was just a case of reducing it to two or three cups a day and replacing the water with other drinks instead.

Re: Water (H2O)

Thank you. It's surprising isn't it to find that something you are doing that you think is okay and turns out not to be! I used to be a real fruit bat until the dentist told me to cut back on that as I was losing enamel off my teeth - can't win can you

Oh I know, so many things they glibly tell us we should do or eat just few years down the line turn out to be bad for us in some way.

Re: Water (H2O)

I am similar to Alan except I never drink water, always tea, coffee or beer.

Ironically I had forgotten how foul English water tastes until I went back a couple of years ago. The funny thing was I thought there was something wrong with the soap because it wouldn't lather until my brother pointed out the water was hard.
